Lowell Red Devils (Lowell, IN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Wheeler Bearcats (Valparaiso, IN), 42-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lowell upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Red Devils travel to Chesterton (Chesterton, IN) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 3. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Bearcats play the River Forest Ingots (Hobart, IN) in a Greater South Shore bout, on Saturday, December 3. Wheeler will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
