North Stars (Bakersfield, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA), 53-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, North upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Stars travel to Las Lomas (Walnut Creek, CA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 1. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 2-2. Las Lomas won 84-56 in their recent non-league bout against Washington (Fremont, CA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Tehachapi Warriors (Tehachapi, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Taft will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 59-58 non-league loss to Rosamond (Rosamond, CA).
