November 29, 2022: Zebulon, GA 30295 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Rutland Hurricanes (Macon, GA) and the host Pike County Pirates (Zebulon, GA), saw Rutland's basketball squad hold off Pike County by a tally of 30-29.
With the victory, Rutland improves its record to 1-4 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Houston County (Warner Robins, GA) to play the Bears in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 2. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Houston County won 48-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Wilkinson County (Irwinton, GA)
Next up, the Pirates play the Crawford County Eagles (Roberta, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 1. Pike County will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 44-33 non-league win over Central (Talbotton, GA).
