Illinois High School Basketball - Chester thwarts Cairo
November 29, 2023: Chester, IL 62233 The Chester Yellowjackets (Chester, IL) basketball knocked off the visiting Cairo Pilots (Cairo, IL), 68-53 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Yellowjackets (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Carlyle (Carlyle, IL). The Indians/Lady Indians go into the Cahokia - Illinois test with a 2-0 record.
The Pilots now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Murphysboro for a non-league test on Friday, December 1. Cairo will encounter a Red Devils squad coming off a 56-43 non-league win over DuQuoin (DuQuoin, IL). The Red Devils record now stands at 2-0.
