Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes (Wilmington, NC) and the visiting West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC), saw Cape Fear Academy's basketball squad hold off West Brunswick by a tally of 54-50.

With the victory, Cape Fear Academy improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Wayne Christian (Goldsboro, NC) to play the Eagles in a NCISAA Coastal Plain challenge on Friday, December 8. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Trojans play the Heide Trask Titans (Rocky Point, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 1. West Brunswick will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 82-66 non-league loss to North Brunswick (Leland, NC).
