Martin County Cardinals (Inez, KY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Expression Prep Academy Lions (Huntington, WV), 92-88 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Martin County upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Breathitt County (Jackson, KY) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Lions play the Holy Family Irish (Ashland, KY) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 6. Expression Prep Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Irish go into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 84-32 non-league loss to Spring Valley (Huntington, WV).
