November 29, 2023: Brevard, NC 28712 In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC), by a margin of 39-17.
The Mustangs (3-0) will now prepare for their outing against Erwin (Asheville, NC). The Warriors go into the non-league outing with a 0-2 record. In their last outing, Erwin was trounced by Avery County (Newland, NC), 40-9, in a non-league outing.
The Blue Devils now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Rosman for a non-league outing on Friday, December 1. Brevard will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 43-11 non-league win over Brevard (Brevard, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 1-0.
