Florida High School Basketball - Clearwater Central Catholic nips Tarpon Springs
November 29, 2023: Tarpon Springs, FL 34689 Clearwater Central Catholic Marauders (Clearwater, FL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Tarpon Springs Spongers (Tarpon Springs, FL), 33-30 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Clearwater Central Catholic upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Marauders travel to Pasco (Dade City, FL) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Friday, December 1. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Pasco won 18-14 in their recent non-league bout against Tavares (Tavares, FL)
Next up, the Spongers play the Palm Harbor University Hurricanes (Palm Harbor, FL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 7. Tarpon Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
