South Mountain Jaguars (Phoenix, AZ) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ), 53-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, South Mountain upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Jaguars host North (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Thursday, November 30. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 1-0. North won 48-39 in their recent non-league bout against Mountain Ridge (Glendale, AZ)

Next up, the Scorpions play the Agua Fria Owls (Avondale, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 30. Desert Edge will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
