Stoneman Douglas Eagles (Parkland, FL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Olympic Heights Lions (Boca Raton, FL), 54-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Stoneman Douglas upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL) to play the Raiders in a bout on Thursday, November 30. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 1-0. St. Thomas Aquinas won 62-43 in their recent non-league bout against Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale, FL)

Next up, the Lions play the Boca Raton Bobcats (Boca Raton, FL) in a bout, on Friday, December 1. Olympic Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Bobcats come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 65-48 non-league loss to Cardinal Gibbons (Fort Lauderdale, FL).
