North Carolina High School Basketball - Covenant Day overwhelmed by Huss

November 29, 2025: Matthews, NC 28105

In Saturday's non-league test, the Huss Huskies (Gastonia, NC) basketball squad trounced the host Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC), by a score of 81-55.

Next, the Huskies clash with the Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, December 2. Huss will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Pumas come into the test with a 2-1 record after their 54-46 non-league win over Northwestern (Rock Hill, SC).

With the loss, Covenant Day falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Lions host Gaston Day (Gastonia, NC) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 2. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Gaston Day lost 97-66 in their recent non-league bout against Caldwell Academy (Greensboro, NC)
