The Liberty Hurricanes basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting Hazleton Area Cougars to 45 in the Hurricanes non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Hurricanes now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Bethlehem Catholic for a Lehigh Valley game on Monday, December 1. Liberty will confront a Hawks team coming off a 66-40 non-league win over Brandywine Heights Area (Topton, PA). The Hawks record now stands at 1-0.
