In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Southern Maryland Christian Academy Mustangs basketball team scored a good 73-64 triumph over the New Hope Academy National Tigers.

The Mustangs (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD). The Falcons enter the non-league match with a 0-0 record.

The Tigers now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Archbishop Curley for a non-league match on Monday, December 1. New Hope Academy National will face a Friars squad coming off a 68-45 non-league loss to Calvert Hall (Baltimore, MD). The Friars record now stands at 0-5.
