In Saturday's non-league test, the Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC) basketball squad trounced the visiting Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC), by a final score of 61-40.

Next, the Mariners clash with the Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC) in a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A test, on Tuesday, December 2. Jackson Day will attempt to upgrade on its 5-0 season record. The Stallions come into the test with a 6-1 record after their 65-51 non-league win over Oak City Prep (Raleigh, NC).

The Bulldogs (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Olympic (Charlotte, NC). The Trojans come into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Olympic bounced West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC), 38-28, in a non-league test.
