The Hanalani Royals (Mililani, HI) basketball edged the visiting Leilehua Mighty Mules (Wahiawa, HI), 34-28 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Royals now possess a 1-1 record. They play next when they host University Laboratory School for a Interscholastic League [ILH] II bout on Monday, December 1. Hanalani will encounter a Junior Rainbows squad coming off a 29-24 non-league win over Pearl City (Pearl City, HI). The Junior Rainbows record now stands at 1-0.
