The Middle Creek Mustangs football team (Apex, NC), was beaten 27-13 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC)

The Buccaneers (9-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Apex Friendship (Apex, NC). The Patriots come into the non-league challenge with a 9-2 record. In their last challenge, Apex Friendship knocked off Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC), 27-6, in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 6-5 record.
