The Wilkes Central Eagles basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the host Elkin Buckin' Elks to 30 in the Eagles non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hibriten for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 2. Wilkes Central will battle a Panthers team coming off a 52-50 non-league win over West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 1-1.

The Buckin' Elks (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against North Forsyth (Winston-Salem, NC). The Vikings come into the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, North Forsyth was routed by Glenn (Kernersville, NC), 69-32, in a non-league bout.
