The El Capitan Gauchos basketball team (Merced, CA), was overwhelmed 63-37 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Pleasant Valley Vikings (Chico, CA)

The Vikings now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Del Oro for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 1. Pleasant Valley will battle a Golden Eagles team coming off a 59-54 non-league win over Laguna Creek (Elk Grove, CA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 2-0.

The Gauchos (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Laguna Creek (Elk Grove, CA). The Cardinals come into the non-league battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Laguna Creek was overwhelmed by Del Oro (Loomis, CA), 59-54, in a non-league battle.
