November 30, 2022: McDermott, OH 45652 The Northwest Mohawks tipped the visiting Zane Trace Pioneers basketball team by a final score of 40-38 in Wednesday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Mohawks face the Portsmouth West Senators (West Portsmouth, OH) in a Southern Ohio II game, on Thursday, December 1. Northwest will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Senators come into the battle with a 4-0 record after their 54-47 non-league win over Greenup County (Greenup, KY).
The Pioneers (0-5) will now prepare for their battle against Westfall (Williamsport, OH). The Mustangs come into the Scioto Valley battle with a 0-4 record. In their last battle, Westfall was nudged by Adena (Frankfort, OH), 45-35, in a league battle.
