Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Mountain Island Charter Raptor (Mt. Holly, NC), 53-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lake Norman Charter upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Knights host East Rowan (Salisbury, NC) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 2-1. East Rowan won 37-35 in their recent non-league bout against Trinity (Trinity, NC)

Next up, the Raptor play the Covenant Classical Warriors (Concord, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 5. Mountain Island Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 47-41 non-league loss to Arborbrook Christian Academy (Matthews, NC).
