November 30, 2022: Robbinsville, NC 28771 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC) and the host Robbinsville Black Knights (Robbinsville, NC), saw Smoky Mountain's basketball squad hold off Robbinsville by a tally of 51-47.
With the victory, Smoky Mountain improves its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs host North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC) to confront the Black Hawks in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 2. The Black Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. North Buncombe lost 51-50 in their recent non-league challenge against North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC)
Next up, the Black Knights confront the Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 6. Robbinsville will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 58-34 non-league loss to Murphy (Murphy, NC).
