Texas High School Basketball - Ray can't hold off Akins
November 30, 2023: Corpus Christi, TX 78411 The Akins Eagles basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Ray Texans to 66 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Eagles now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brackenridge for a non-league contest on Friday, December 1. Akins will battle a Eagles team coming off a 58-44 non-league win over Sharyland (Mission, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 4-7.
The Texans (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Sharyland (Mission, TX). The Rattlers enter the non-league contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Sharyland nudged King (Kingsville, TX), 60-50, in a non-league contest.
