In Thursday's non-league outing, the Bear River Bears (Garland, UT) basketball squad felled the visiting Union Cougars (Roosevelt, UT), by a margin of 53-43.

The Bears (1-1) will now prepare for their outing against American Prep WV (West Valley City, UT). The Eagles go into the non-league outing with a 4-0 record. In their last outing, American Prep WV thwarted Ben Lomond (Ogden, UT), 54-44, in a non-league outing.
