Arkansas High School Basketball - Jonesboro overwhelms Cedar Ridge
November 30, 2023: Jonesboro, AR 72401 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Jonesboro Hurricane (Jonesboro, AR) and the visiting Cedar Ridge Timberwolves (Newark, AR), saw Jonesboro's basketball squad wallop Cedar Ridge by a tally of 61-27.
With the victory, Jonesboro improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Hurricane host Rossview (Clarksville, TN) to play the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 1. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Rossview won 58-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Hendersonville (Hendersonville, TN)
Next up, the Timberwolves play the Izard County Cougars (Brockwell, AR) in a 2A Region 2 challenge, on Friday, December 1. Cedar Ridge will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 73-55 league win over Quitman (Quitman, AR).
