The Ennis Lions (Ennis, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Connally Cadets (Waco, TX), 45-40 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Lions (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Hendrickson (Pflugerville, TX). The Hawks go into the non-league test with a 5-2 record. In their last test, Hendrickson got by Braswell (Little Elm, TX), 35-34, in a non-league test.
