Alabama High School Basketball - Escambia County holds off Monroe County
November 30, 2023: Monroeville, AL 36460 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Escambia County Blue Devils (Atmore, AL) and the host Monroe County Tigers (Monroeville, AL), saw Escambia County's basketball squad hold off Monroe County by a tally of 53-49.
With the victory, Escambia County improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Flomaton (Flomaton, AL) to confront the Hurricanes in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 1. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 0-1.
Next up, the Tigers confront the W.S. Neal Eagles (East Brewton, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 1. Monroe County will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 61-27 non-league win over Northview (Bratt, FL).
