Granger Lions (Granger, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Vanguard College Prep Vikings (Waco, TX), 45-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Granger upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Lions travel to Leon (Jewett, TX) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Friday, December 1. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Leon lost 57-41 in their recent non-league bout against Moody (Moody, TX)

Next up, the Vikings play the Moody Bearcats (Moody, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 1. Vanguard College Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 57-41 non-league win over Leon (Jewett, TX).
