Louisiana High School Basketball - Newman overwhelms McGehee
November 30, 2023: New Orleans, LA 70130 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA) and the host McGehee Hawks (New Orleans, LA), saw Newman's basketball squad wallop McGehee by a tally of 64-32.
With the victory, Newman improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Greenies travel to Archbishop Chapelle (Metairie, LA) to confront the Chipmunks in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 6. The Chipmunks come into the challenge with a record of 5-0.
Next up, the Hawks confront the Ursuline Academy Lions (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 1. McGehee will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 58-13 non-league loss to Mt. Carmel (New Orleans, LA).
