The Blackhawk Cougars basketball team (Beaver Falls, PA), was edged 91-86 in Saturday's non-league bout with the visiting Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA)

The Scotties now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Jefferson-Morgan for a non-league bout on Friday, December 6. Union Area will play a Rockets team coming off a 47-43 non-league win over Avella (Avella, PA). The Rockets record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Blackhawk falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Beaver (Beaver, PA) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 3. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Beaver won 73-41 in their recent non-league bout against Franklin (Franklin, PA)
