California High School Basketball - Whitney can't hold off West
November 30, 2024: Cerritos, CA 90703 West Warriors (Torrance, CA) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Whitney Wildcats (Cerritos, CA), 59-52 in a non-league match.
With the victory, West advances its record to 5-3 on the year. The Warriors travel to Jordan (Long Beach, CA) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Monday, December 2. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 2-2. Jordan won 59-43 in their recent non-league match against Peninsula (Rolling Hills Estates, CA)
The Wildcats now own a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Savanna for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 3. Whitney will face a Rebels squad coming off a 59-50 non-league win over Ocean View (Huntington Beach, CA). The Rebels record now stands at 4-1.
