In Friday's league game, the Union Bears (Appalachia, VA) football team smashed the host John Battle Trojans (Bristol, VA), by a score of 52-14.

The Bears (7-3) will now prepare for their game against Gate City (Gate City, VA). The Blue Devils come into the Mountain game with a 7-3 record. In their last game, Gate City was ripped by Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA), 41-0, in a league game.
