Texas High School Basketball - Abilene can't hold off Weatherford
November 4, 2022: Abilene, TX 79603 The Weatherford Kangaroos basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Abilene Eagles to 54 in the Kangaroos non-league triumph on Friday.
The Kangaroos now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Azle for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 8. Weatherford will battle a Hornets team coming off a 43-41 non-league win over Sanger (Sanger, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 1-0.
The Eagles (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Breckenridge (Breckenridge, TX). The Buckaroos enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Breckenridge was nudged by Merkel (Merkel, TX), 53-24, in a non-league contest.
