The Nixon Mustangs basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Del Rio Rams to 19 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Antonian Prep for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 9. Nixon will meet a Apaches team coming off a 82-40 non-league win over Highlands (San Antonio, TX). The Apaches record now stands at 1-1.

The Rams (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Devine (Devine, TX). The Warhorses enter the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
