The crowd at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions (Glendale, AZ) and the host Cesar Chavez Champions (Laveen, AZ), witnessed Mountain Ridge's flag football squad wallop Cesar Chavez by a tally of 40-6.

The Mountain Lions (12-3) will now prepare for their contest against O'Connor (Phoenix, AZ). The Eagles enter the 6A West Valley contest with a 13-3 record. In their last contest, O'Connor crushed Boulder Creek (Anthem, AZ), 21-0, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Champions battle the Maryvale Panthers (Phoenix, AZ) in a 6A Metro contest, on Thursday, November 7. Cesar Chavez will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record. The Panthers enter the contest with a 0-10 record after their 12-0 league loss to Camelback (Phoenix, AZ).
