Mississippi High School Soccer - Pontotoc nudges Southaven
November 7, 2025: Pontotoc, MS 38863 The Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS) soccer nipped the visiting Southaven Chargers (Southaven, MS), 2-1 in Friday's non-league battle.
The Warriors (1-1) will now prepare for their match against New Albany (New Albany, MS). The Bulldogs come into the non-league match with a 7-0 record. In their last match, New Albany nipped Clarkdale (Meridian, MS), 6-1, in a non-league match.
The Chargers now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cleveland Central for a non-league battle on Tuesday, November 11. Southaven will battle a Wolves squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Lake Cormorant (Lake Cormorant, MS). The Wolves record now stands at 1-3.
