Howard Lions (Ellicott City, MD) backers were pleased Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Chesapeake Cougars (Pasadena, MD), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions (23-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Arundel (Gambrills, MD). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 13-4 record. In their last challenge, Arundel gained a win over Wootton (Rockville, MD), 3-1, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now sport a 11-5 record.
