Lanier Poets (Montgomery, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Central Lions (Hayneville, AL), 39-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lanier upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Poets travel to Prattville (Prattville, AL) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Thursday, November 10. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Prattville won 57-39 in their recent non-league bout against Pike Road (Pike Road, AL)
