Texas High School Basketball - Sands crushes New Deal
November 8, 2022: Ackerly, TX 79713 Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting New Deal Lions (New Deal, TX), 68-31 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Sands upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Mustangs host Greenwood (Midland, TX) to play the Rangers in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 12. The Rangers go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Lions play the Roosevelt Eagles (Lubbock, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 12. New Deal will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 49-44 non-league loss to Sundown (Sundown, TX).
