November 8, 2023: Vashon Island, WA 98070 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league test between the Vashon Island Pirates (Vashon Island, WA) and the visiting Lakeside Eagles (Nine Mile Falls, WA), saw Vashon Island's soccer squad get by Lakeside by a count of 1-0.
The Pirates now hold a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Klahowya for a non-league match on Friday, November 10. Vashon Island will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Seton Catholic (Vancouver, WA). The Eagles record now stands at 13-1.
With the loss, Lakeside drops to 12-5 on the season.
