Texas High School Basketball - Mercedes overwhelms Valley View

The Mercedes Tigers basketball team scored 40 points and limited the host Valley View Tigers to 19 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now have a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Edinburg North for a non-league game on Saturday, November 9. Mercedes will confront a Cougars team coming off a 36-25 non-league loss to Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Valley View falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial (Alamo, TX) to confront the Wolverines in a non-league game on Tuesday, November 12.
