Pennsylvania High School Ice Hockey - Moon Area holds off Blackhawk
November 9, 2023: Beaver Falls, PA 15010 The Moon Area Tigers got by the host Blackhawk Cougars ice hockey squad by a count of 2-1 in Thursday's league bout.
With the victory, Moon Area moves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Freeport (Freeport, PA) to face the Yellowjackets in a PIHL Class A Blue bout on Thursday, November 16. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Freeport lost 6-5 in their recent league bout against Hampton (Allison Park, PA)
The Cougars now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Richland for a PIHL Class A Blue bout on Tuesday, November 14. Blackhawk will face a Rams squad coming off a 9-0 non-league win over Greater Johnstown (Johnstown, PA). The Rams record now stands at 3-8.
