In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Holmes County Central Jaguars basketball team scored a close 53-48 triumph over the Murrah Mustangs.

The Jaguars (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Vicksburg (Vicksburg, MS). The Gators go into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.

In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Provine Rams (Jackson, MS) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, November 12. Murrah will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
