November 9, 2024: Decatur, GA 30034 Southwest DeKalb Panthers (Decatur, GA) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Eastside Eagles (Covington, GA), 42-36 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Southwest DeKalb advances its record to 2-0 on the year. The Panthers host Dutchtown (Hampton, GA) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Saturday, November 16. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 1-0. Dutchtown won 49-36 in their recent non-league match against Salem (Conyers, GA)
The Eagles now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alcovy for a non-league match on Saturday, November 16. Eastside will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 46-38 non-league loss to Newton (Covington, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 0-1.
