The Washington Eagles basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the host Hillside Hornets to 61 in the Eagles non-league victory on Saturday.
The Eagles now sport a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Northern Durham for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 5. Washington will meet a Knights team coming off a 63-61 non-league loss to Grimsley (Greensboro, NC). The Knights record now stands at 2-2.
The Hornets (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC). The Falcons come into the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Seventy-First was defeated by South View (Hope Mills, NC), 60-47, in a non-league contest.
