Iowa High School Basketball - Cherokee Washington fells Gehlen Catholic
December 1, 2022: Cherokee, IA 51012 Cherokee Washington Braves (Cherokee, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Gehlen Catholic Jays (Le Mars, IA), 73-60 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Cherokee Washington upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Braves travel to Woodbine (Woodbine, IA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 2. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Woodbine won 57-37 in their recent non-league bout against CAM (Anita, IA)
Next up, the Jays play the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals (Marcus, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 2. Gehlen Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record.
