North Woods grizzlies (Cook, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Cook County Vikings (Grand Marais, MN), 72-28 in a league bout.

With the win, North Woods upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The grizzlies host Mountain Iron-Buhl (Mountain Iron, MN) to play the Rangers in a A Section 7 bout on Thursday, January 12. The Rangers go into the bout with a record of 3-1.

Next up, the Vikings play the Clinch County Panthers (Homerville, GA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Cook County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
