In Thursday's non-league outing, the Elgin/Pope John Wolfpack (Elgin, NE) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Riverside Chargers (Cedar Rapids, NE), by a margin of 55-17.

The Wolfpack (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Niobrara/Verdigre (Niobrara, NE). The Cougars go into the D1 District 5 bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Niobrara/Verdigre overwhelmed Stuart (Stuart, NE), 61-41, in a non-league bout.

Next up, the Chargers play the St. Mary's Cardinals (O'Neill, NE) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 2. Riverside will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 67-20 non-league win over Osmond/Randolph (Osmond, NE).
