Alabama High School Basketball - Gordo can't hold off West Blocton
December 1, 2023: Gordo, AL 35466 The West Blocton Tigers basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Gordo Green Wave to 63 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Tigers now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Calera for a non-league contest on Monday, December 4. West Blocton will battle a Eagles team coming off a 94-56 non-league loss to Gardendale (Gardendale, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 0-9.
The Green Wave (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Holt (Holt, AL). The Ironmen enter the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Holt was nudged by Northside (Northport, AL), 61-41, in a non-league contest.
