In Friday's non-league outing, the Martin County Knights (Williamston, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Southside Seahawks (Chocowinity, NC), by a margin of 77-53.

The Knights (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC). The Pirates enter the non-league match with a 0-4 record. In their last match, Corinth Holders was routed by Southern Nash (Bailey, NC), 79-78, in a non-league match.

With the defeat, Southside moves to 1-4 on the year. The Seahawks travel to Mattamuskeet (Swan Quarter, NC) to meet the Lakers in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 5. The Lakers enter the match with a record of 4-2. Mattamuskeet won 51-21 in their recent non-league match against Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech (Elizabeth City, NC)
