Oklahoma High School Basketball - Merritt crushes Canute
December 1, 2023: Canute, OK 73626 Merritt Oilers (Elk City, OK) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Canute Trojans (Canute, OK), 74-41 in a league bout.
With the win, Merritt upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Oilers travel to Cheyenne/Reydon (Cheyenne, OK) to clash with the Bears in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Cheyenne/Reydon won 55-26 in their recent non-league bout against Sayre (Sayre, OK)
Next up, the Trojans clash with the Sayre Eagles (Sayre, OK) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Canute will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 55-26 non-league loss to Cheyenne/Reydon (Cheyenne, OK).
